Captain David Blanchard is Florida born and third generation resident of Safety Harbor. Capt. Dave has grown-up fishing in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. He has over 30 years’ experience in running charters and enjoys passing on his fishing skills and techniques. Capt. Dave has caught most everything that swims and his expertise has won him many awards. What Capt. Dave excels in is catching sharks, BIG SHARKS! Capt Dave holds the record for the largest shark caught off the Big Indian Rocks Pier, a 751 pound Dusky Shark.
Capt. Dave enjoys the opportunity of sharing his fishing skills at different fishing clubs and sport stores around Tampa Bay Area. He especially enjoys teaching at the “Great American Teach-In” where he is known as the “Shark Man” to the elementary school children of Pinellas County. He also holds kids fishing camp in the Cities of Safety Harbor and Palm Harbor.
A little known fact s that at the age of 15 Captain Christian Zarra began fishing with Capt. Dave and they have been together ever since.
